Snow made driving hazardous on roads throughout Colorado on Saturday as law enforcement reported roadway closures in the mountains and across the Denver metro area.
Colorado 119 spanning Boulder Canyon between Boulder and Nederland was closed amid the snow as of 3:45 p.m., as was westbound Interstate 76 near Barr Lake. Vail Pass is also currently closed.
Southbound Interstate 25 near Owl Canyon Road, north of Wellington, closed because of safety concerns Saturday but has since reopened.
U.S. 6 remains closed in both directions near Loveland Pass after an avalanche Friday stranded multiple drivers.
Numerous Colorado law enforcement agencies have also announced they are on accident alert, including Denver police.
Traffic on eastbound I-70 between Rifle and Glenwood Springs was impacted Saturday morning when a driver rear-ended a parked Colorado State Patrol vehicle, and a multi-vehicle crash closed northbound Parker Road in Aurora for about 45 minutes Saturday afternoon.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
