At least 1 dead, 2 injured in Denver crash involving pedestrian

At least one person is dead and two others are in the hospital after a Sunday morning crash involving a pedestrian, police said.

Denver police officials said at 11:20 a.m. that three people were sent to the hospital after a crash involving a pedestrian near 22nd and Lawrence streets. Less than an hour later, at least one of the crash victims had died from their injuries.

“This is now being investigated as a fatal crash,” the police department said on social media in an 11:50 a.m. update.

The intersection, in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, is between Coors Field and Broadway.

Information about the cause of the crash and the other two victims’ conditions was not available Sunday afternoon.
