Man dead, 3 injured in 4 separate shootings across Denver on Sunday

A man was killed and three others were injured in four separate shootings across Denver on Sunday morning, police said.

The fatal shooting, which happened near the 1300 block of West Colfax Avenue in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, stemmed from an argument between two men, the Denver Police Department said in a 3:28 a.m. post on X.

Paramedics took the unidentified victim to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said. No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning.

Just two hours earlier, Denver police officers were investigating a shooting in the 1200 block of South Shoshone Street in Denver’s Ruby Hill neighborhood, south of West Mississippi Avenue, according to a 1:14 a.m. statement from the police department.

Officers also responded to shootings in the 2200 block of Court Place in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood around 2:38 a.m. and the 1100 block of Decatur Street in Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood around 7:45 a.m., according to posts on X from the police department.

The Decatur Street shooting happened just outside of an elementary school.

Paramedics took one person to the hospital from each of the three non-fatal shootings and police said they have not identified any suspects.

Updates on the victims’ conditions were not available Sunday morning.
