Southbound I-25 closed in Colorado Springs due to crash

A multi-vehicle crash has closed southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, prompting a warning of “long delays” for weekend travelers from Colorado’s Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred near the exit for South Circle Drive and Lake Avenue. It was announced at 10:21 a.m. by CDOT.

Colorado Springs police wrote in a social media post at 10:32 a.m. that southbound traffic is being detoured onto Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass.
